Web Designer in MELBOURNE, Victoria
We are looking for two motivated, reliable and efficient web designers to work on an ongoing casual/part time basis for our marketing agency.
The required experience to be successful in this role will be:
? Proficient use of the Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
? Experience in working to client briefs
? Experience in responsive web design
? Passion for all things digital and the latest web trends and technologies
? Creative thinker with impressive interface design and layout skills with attention to detail
? Able to successfully interpret the client?s needs from the design brief, wire-framing, concept creation, through to execution
? Motivated, deadline driven, highly organised and comfortable with performing well under pressure
? A clear communicator, confident in presenting your ideas to the digital team.
You will be required to deliver a project from start to finish. Design mock-ups or prototype, execute build, and deploy. We have a highly skilled team of designers and developers who can offer support when required, but the role is mostly pretty autonomous.
In addition to the vital skills above, the role will present greater opportunity if you have experience in:
? PHP
? MySQL
? API?s such as Google (maps, drive etc?), Facebook or others.
? EDM Newsletters
? SEO Knowledge
? Online marketing (designing for conversion)
? Copywriting (for micro copy and general user experience.)
? CMS (Wordpress, Magento...)
These points are important too:
? Care about the readability/cleanliness of your code/style sheets
? Actively keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements
? Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
? Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and within deadlines
? Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
? Great problem solving skills especially centring around design for the web
? The ability to present your work to clients
