As to the lens itself. It is ridiculously small and takes very sharp photo's. Perfect for candid portrait shots. If you Google you'll also see that it is one of Pentax's fastest focussing lens. It is only 52g.
If you own it you have no excuse for not taking it with you (see photograph for a comparison against the not large FA35).
